Project: Points

The relationship between points:

This image was taken at the James Hamilton Heritage Park and shows a mooring buoy and life-ring which has been thrown into the frozen water.

In the original image, in colour, you are attracted to the life-ring as it is a bright red and white colour.
I would say that the same applies for this black and white image but for different reasons, albeit they apply to the colour image also.  I feel that the viewer is attracted to the life-ring as it is closer to the center of the image albeit the mooring buoy is bigger and silhoueted in circle of melting ice.
Both elements are situated on the diagonal of the frame at points of the "Rule of Thirds".

The next photograph was taken on the Largs shoreline.  In this image, the elements, two park benches are on the same horizontal plane with the right hand bench closer to frame center.  The viewer is draw to the righthand bench, not only for this reason, but also it is slightly less obscured by the lamp post behind.
