The first image has the horizon at the extreme bottom of the image, which in this photograph I don't think it works. The position of the horizon leaves the image unbalanced particularily when the sky is devoid of clouds in the upper 2/3rds. It would be better as a panorama rather than the full landscape above.
The image above is more balanced than the first and some of the detail in the moorland can now be seen adding an overall interest. As described in the literature the image is now becoming more dynamic and the position of the horizon is giving prominence to the sky. I feel that this image is too top heavy with sky.
The image above is similar to the previous image, more balanced than the very first but more of the detail in the moorland can now be seen adding an overall interest with the wind turbines now being considered. As described in the literature the image is now becoming more dynamic and as the horizon is higher, it is now giving less prominence to the sky and more to the moorland. I feel that this image works.
Now in the image above, the prominece of the sky has gone and the viewer is led to the detail of moorland and windfarms. I feel that the balance of this image works.
I feel that this image does not work and the lack of sky puts the overall image out of balance, particularily where the first windturbine masts is cropped.
