Exercise: Object in different positions in the frame

I have taken five images of Mains Castle within the James Hamilton Heritage Park, East Kilbride.
I have arranged them in order of preference.  As can be seen the castle is in five different positions within the frame as detailed:
  1. With the castle positioned bottom left, the subject seems to be lost in the overall image,

1. Bottom left

2.  Again with the castle positioned bottom right in the photograph below, to me, the subject seems to be lost in the overall image

2. Bottom right

4. Below, with the castle positioned top right, in the photograph below, the subject is becoming more prominent, but is still not central to the image,

3. Top right
4. With the image in the center of the frame the castle becomes prominent but the overall image does not feel "balanced" and it is not until the image is placed, as in the last image the the right and a little up, as depicted by the rule of thirds that the image appears balanced.

4. Center

5. Rule of thirds
